The rest of the dealership's technology, handled.

Alongside the Dealeredge F&I software, we run IT, compliance and websites for dealerships. Hire us for any of it on its own: you do not need the software to use the services, and the software does not need them.

The systems every department depends on

Much of this is what we already run for an F&I business: the help desk, Microsoft 365, the automation and the apps. A dealership has the same needs and more vendors than anybody has counted.

Run 02$1,199 per store, per month

  • Help desk and managed IT

Computers, printers, scanners and the person who answers when one of them stops. Remote support first, and on site when it has to be.

  • Microsoft 365

Email on your own domain, a shared mailbox for each department or each store you work with, Teams, and two-step sign-in on every account.

  • Network and security

Firewall, Wi-Fi that keeps guests off the network your deal jackets live on, protection on every workstation, and backups that have been restored at least once.

  • DMS and vendor systems

Getting the DMS, the CRM, the texting service and the lender portals set up and talking, and keeping a written list of which vendor holds which customer data.

  • Onboarding that runs itself

A new store or a new hire gets its mailbox and its address set up from one request, without anybody retyping a name into three admin screens.

  • Assistants and custom apps

An assistant your team can message from a phone to draft an email or look something up, with nothing sent until a person approves it. And when no product fits, an app built for you - a time clock with overtime approval is one we run today.

The Safeguards Rule, turned into work that gets done

A dealership that offers financing or leasing is generally covered by the FTC's Safeguards Rule, 16 CFR Part 314. It asks for a written information security program and a specific list of controls. We build the program, run the controls and keep the records that show it.

Run 03$999 per store, per month

Fewer than 5,000 customers on file? Under section 314.6, four of these elements do not apply to a smaller business. They are marked, and we will tell you which ones apply to you.

We are a technology company, not a law firm. We build and run the program; your attorney should approve the policies that carry legal language.

  1. 314.4(a)

    A Qualified Individual

Somebody has to own the program. The Rule allows that person to work for a service provider, so we can fill the role while you keep responsibility and name a senior person at the store to oversee it.

  2. 314.4(b)

    A written risk assessment

    Not required under 5,000 consumers

Where customer information lives, who can reach it and what could go wrong, written down, because every other control is supposed to follow from it.

  3. 314.4(c)

    The controls themselves

Access reviews, an inventory of data and systems, encryption, multi-factor authentication for anyone reaching customer information, activity logging, and disposal within two years of last use.

  4. 314.4(d)

    Testing

    Not required under 5,000 consumers

Without continuous monitoring, the Rule asks for vulnerability scans at least every six months and a penetration test every year. We run them and keep the results.

  5. 314.4(e) and (f)

    Training and vendor oversight

Security awareness training for your staff, and a check that the vendors holding your customers' data are protecting it the way the Rule expects.

  6. 314.4(h) and (j)

    An incident response plan

    Not required under 5,000 consumers

Who does what when something goes wrong, written before it does. That includes the notice to the FTC within 30 days of discovering an event that involves 500 or more consumers.

  7. 314.4(i)

    The annual report

    Not required under 5,000 consumers

The Qualified Individual reports in writing, at least once a year, to the owner or board on the state of the program. We write it.

Beyond the Safeguards Rule

  • Texting your customers

Consent captured on your web forms in words that hold up, and the business texting registration (A2P 10DLC) carriers now require before a store's number can text at all.

  • What your website discloses

A privacy notice, financing disclosures and an accessibility statement, drafted to match what the site actually collects and handed to your attorney to approve.

A site that sells the store, and somewhere for the leads to land

Designed for your store, built and hosted by us, and connected to the tools your people already use.

Run 04$2,500 to build, then $199 a month for hosting and changes

A Tampa automotive consulting firm

Our most recent site, for a firm that works car deals on the customer's side. We replaced their template site with one built around what they actually do, and gave their staff somewhere to work the leads it brings in.

  • A custom design built around one idea from the client's own trade, rather than a template
  • Inventory pages, and online booking against the team's own hours
  • A staff portal for the leads the site brings in: a pipeline board, a timeline per customer, tasks and a calendar
  • Staff sign-in through Microsoft 365 with two-step sign-in, and no passwords of the site's own
  • Texting consent on the contact and booking forms, recorded with the lead
  • Privacy, terms, financing disclosures and an accessibility statement, drafted for the owners' attorney

What a dealership site from us includes

  • Design made for your store, not a theme with your logo on it
  • Inventory, booking and contact forms that land somewhere your team works
  • Hosting, your domain and email set up properly
  • Search basics: page titles, a sitemap and structured data
  • Security headers and accessibility checked before launch
  • Changes after launch without a ticket queue
